NS

Have a word with yourself. It's good because he isn't up to it anymore, I'd agree.......but just because he came with Sam?

Promotion was part of Allardyce's legacy aswell. Do you want to go down so we can come upo with someone different?

We dont actually know that was made up do we? After all a member of the coaching team was fairly widely reported to have been snorting and took a whack for it before being marched out the same day

Whatever and as I said elsewhere Nolan served his purpose well and his greatest guilt was first his association with a manager we also cant recognise did a job and accepting a contract which the club offered

Grant asleep on his desk?

I love it when KIA makes stuff up!

From what I understand we've not paid up the whole of his contract, a deals been struck everyone was happy with.

Trevor B 8:23 Thu Aug 27
Re: Nolan - Released
So we paid up the remainder of his his contract, as we were contractually obliged to do? For a moment there I thought you were suggesting that something unusual had gone on.

Re: Nolan - Released
can't say i am surprised, he had been here about a season and a half too long. Was good for us when he first got here, scored goals and managed to boss some games.

When you are the 'Son of Sam' nothing you do will ever be good enough for a lot of people.

He did well when we needed him, Scored more than a few important goals and was a good Captain...but that was two years ago.

I personally wish him all the best but Im also delighted that he will no longer be wearing our shirt.

Basically he come to do a bit for MOTD and found the club in a right state, players sitting around chatting or listerning to music, a few training with Scott Parker seeming to take the session and Grant asleep on his desk.

Link?

I can only find a charity bike ride event where he visited the ground and says none of that.

Re: Nolan - Released
I remain firmly in the did a good job camp, he was exactly what was needed at the time

The animosity toward him that manifests across the spectrum of earning to much, shagging too much, tooting to much, drinking too much and clubbing too much really stems from Sams' playing him too much when he was patently beyond his best.

A fact utterly predictably at his signingbut well worth undertaking. Sam should have quietly relegated him to cameo sub roles and managed the transition as opoosed to fuelling the fire for his own end

That about sums his contribution up and is pretty damning. He never truly challenged for headers, just done the old trick of leaning his arse in or jumping under it. That's not a leader, and it isn't someone earning his 50k p/w. And all that is apart from the weight issue which, despite the protestations of his defenders here, was clearly unacceptable for a professional footballer.

Out of shape fat cunt. He looks so much bigger than when he arrived does not take care of himself the way a 50k a week captain should.

Re: Nolan - Released
Footballs changed, players are earning fucking packets, and we all pay fucking packets to watch it. Gone are the days of the players have a beer after the game in the locals, being "normal" human beings.

If I don't think players earning 12.5 million in 5 years are trying there hardest I will boo the fuck out of them.

Some of the players we've had have been nothing short of a disgrace and I'd put Nolan in that bracket.

I don't give a shit what people think about that.
